Legendary and controversial artist Jon McNaughton launched ‘The Biden Legacy NFT Collection,’ the second limited-edition McNifty NFT series. The follow-up to the highly successful ‘Trump Legacy Collection,’ the NFTs feature the president in a myriad of satiric settings derived from scores of hand-painted assets.
Based on his latest painting, “The Emperor Has No Clothes,” McNaughton says the new and controversial collection captures how he feels living during the Biden administration. “Like any artist, my work reflects my thoughts and experiences. They’re not always pretty, and they’re sometimes humorous, as is the case with my latest painting. While there is satire, each image contains elements of truth.”
Limited to 1,776 unique images, collectors can expect to see ‘visitors’ like Kamala Harris, Jen Psaki, Nancy Pelosi, Vladimir Putin, and former President Donald Trump. Throughout the series, Biden can be seen wearing slogan t-shirts, hats, and masks, and holding props like pizza and ice cream.
The collection is stamped on the Polygon blockchain. Returning buyers who hold Trump McNifty NFTs can mint a Biden McNifty for 118 MATIC. New collectors can purchase a random asset from the collection for $300 via credit card. With the purchase of three NFTs, the collector will receive a signed physical print.
The Biden Legacy Collection is the second time McNaughton has partnered with Parler to promote his NFTs. Parler CEO George Farmer said the collection is launching at a crucial time in America. “With freedom of expression under constant attack, there is no better time to introduce McNaughton’s controversial renderings. The creativity of America’s foremost conservative artist deserves to be highlighted and collected by those who appreciate his work.”
